India has a 7,500 km long coast line and is strategically situated between 2 powerful economic corridors (Middle East and South-East Asia). The Indian coastline has only 4 major ports and a few dozen jetties. India is expected to be a economic superpower by 2020 and in order to achieve that, India will have to upgrade its current Marine Infrastructure facilities. India is also a huge trading base for South Asian region and by 2020; India is expected to be one of the largest consuming nations in the world.

In order to meet the trade requirements as well as compete with other coastal destinations, India must upgrade its marine infrastructure facilities and bring it at par with those of China or Singapore. VJA management has spotted this massive opportunity in this relatively ‘virgin’ business domain and has taken active steps to establish itself as one of the preferred marine infrastructure builders in Western India.

In line with this philosophy, we have successfully completed our maiden marine infrastructure project for Vikram Ispat Ltd. near Alibaug, (100 kms from Mumbai) and are currently bidding for other projects in Western India.
