Seminar by Mr. Sarvesh Javdekar at IIMM

On 10th February 2018, Indian Institute of Material Management (IIMM) had arranged a one-day seminar on ‘Cost Reduction in supply chain and logistics through new technologies and innovation”.
Mr. Sarvesh Javdekar was invited as a Chief Guest at the event. On the onset of the event, he was felicitated by Mr. Amit Borkar from IIMM. He addressed the speakers and shared his thoughts on use of supply chain management in real estate industry.
He also gave his valuable inputs on how the real estate industry is changing with times and getting more and more organized. How the use of various new technologies is lowering the cost of supply chain management and resulting in lowering the expenses and speeding up the completion process. He also gave a small presentation on the topic where he talked about some basic points like proper budgeting, techniques and monitoring, wastage reduction, vendor selection, choosing proper transportation and the recent RERA compliances. He also discussed how by following these basic points one can develop a well-managed, low cost yet a better quality construction.
The event was followed by question-answer session. He answered various questions from audience regarding current market scenario, RERA compliance, and Supply chain management. He concluded the discussion with a famous quote by Benjamin Franklin- “By failing to plan, you are planning to fail” The speech was applauded and enjoyed by students and faculty of IIMM.
