Mr. Sarvesh Javdekar addresses students at NICMAR

Technikala is a 3-day event organised by NICMAR annually at their campus in Balewadi Pune. It is an inter-college event which brings together different engineering and architecture colleges from all over the city. This year, Technikala was organised from 9th to 11th of February 2018.
Mr. Sarvesh Javdekar, technical director at Vilas Javdekar Developers, attended the inauguration ceremony of Technikala 2018 as a chief guest. He was felicitated with a memento by Director of NICMAR Mr. Mangesh Kurwankar. He addressed the crowd at the event and shared his experience in Construction management. More than 160 students and faculty members attended the inauguration ceremony. During his speech, he advised the students that practical knowledge is as important as theoretical knowledge in the construction industry.
Hence, students must work at the construction sites to acquire practical experience. He added that Construction worker is the most important stakeholder in real estate and one can learn a lot of things from the laborers which cannot learn from the textbooks.
He also added that after receiving the degrees when they start working in an organization, they should focus on the people they are working with rather than the place they will be working at. At the end, He also offered an opportunity to the students of NICMAR, to do internship at VJ and get hands-on experience.
