Bringing together four pillars of Hindustani Classical music.
As a brand, VJ has always stood behind and promoted various events based on Indian Classical Music. This 15th Feb, VJ supported a musical evening 'Viraasat', conceptualised by singer and composer Rahul Ranade. 'Viraasat' was a magical evening where the 8 greats of the Hindustani Classical Music industry performed together on one stage for the first time ever. The 8 stalwarts of music were, in fact, Guru-Shishya duos who graced the stage together.
This soulful evening witnessed stellar and never-seen-before performances by musical maestros, namely:
- Louis Banks and Gino Banks (Father-Son)
- Vikkuji Vinayakram and Selva Ganesh (Father-Son)
- Ganesh and Kumaresh Rajagopalan (Brothers)
- Taufiq Qureshi and Ustad Zakir Hussain(Brothers)
The Father- Son duo of Sudhir Gadgil and Ketan Gadgil anchored the event with grace and poise.
In the end, all musicians got on stage together and performed a piece called ' Doors of Desire'. It was indeed an unforgettable experience that the attendees will remember for days to come.
